ABOUT
Born in Melbourne, raised on the airwaves, Jason Costa (aka Costarachi) helped redefine Australian radio. In the '90s, he doubled audience shares, retooled formats, and ushered in the digital age - bringing computers into live studios before most knew how to boot one.
His radio roots trace back to RMIT’s 3ST, where he led student broadcasts citywide before landing his first job in commercial radio at 3YB Warrnambool. By 1994, he was on-air at Canberra’s 2CA, quickly rising through the ranks. At just 26, he was programming seven stations across the Capital Radio Network - shaping soundscapes from Canberra to Perth.
In the 2000s, Jason pivoted to advertising and marketing, but never fully left the booth. Casual shifts kept the mic warm until the pandemic hit. Today, he’s remixing his legacy with AI tech... still spinning a good tune with a mind set to the future.
